Referral programme rules
Effective from 27 September 2026
The referral programme lets photographers who use SilverAlbum earn extra storage for recommending the service to other photographers. Here is everything you need to know — no small print.
§ 1Who can refer and who can join
- Anyone with a SilverAlbum account can refer others — on any plan, including free Start. You’ll find your link in the dashboard under “Referrals”.
- A referral only counts if the new person creates an account through your link within 60 days of clicking it. A referral can’t be added to an account that already exists.
- You can’t refer yourself — including from another address of the same mailbox or through a second account you open for yourself.
§ 2When and what you get
- The bonus is granted only once the referred account pays its first invoice for a paid plan. Signing up or a trial alone doesn’t earn anything.
- For each such account, the referrer gets +10 GB and the referred person gets +5 GB of photo storage.
- The bonus is added on top of your plan and any add-on packs, works on every plan and never expires — including after moving to a lower plan or back to free Start.
- One account can earn up to 100 GB from referrals. Once you reach the limit, further referrals still count and the people you refer still get their +5 GB.
§ 3What the bonus is not
- The bonus is extra storage in SilverAlbum only. It has no cash value, can’t be exchanged for money, a discount or another plan, and can’t be transferred to another account.
- Deleting your account means the bonus goes with it.
§ 4Abuse
- The programme is for genuine recommendations between photographers. If we see accounts opened for oneself, link trading, spam or other ways around these rules, we may withhold the bonus or reverse a bonus granted that way — we’ll write to you first and hear you out.
§ 5Changes and ending the programme
- We may change these rules or end the programme, announcing it on this page and by email at least 14 days in advance.
- Bonuses granted before a change or the end of the programme stay on accounts under the rules that applied when they were granted.
